Immortal Insanity, or Innocence?
Chapter 6: Research and More Questions
By Arceus. Conberma (Liyu Conberma)
In the morning news spread that the criminal had been captured red-handed. Everyone was relieved that they no longer had a cannibal roaming freely about the kingdom.
Soon the streets of Cosium had burst into colourful displays of triumph, and even Captain Alexei planned to join in the celebrations. Many soldiers couldn't wait until King Mortesen returned to report this to him (possibly hoping they could get reward for taking part in the capture). Everyone was satisfied the case had been resolved so quickly.
All but one.
Athena remained in her room ever since the soldiers dragged the “monstrous murderer” to the castle dungeon, keeping him there until Mortesen would come back to begin the trial. All day the queen continued to suffer through a confusion that refused to dissipate. She ought to be celebrating like the rest of her people, and yet
It's that time of year again - time to reflect on the past year and plan for the next.
2015 started pretty rough for me, what with the Shingles and all. And I had a few other parts of the year where I was very ill, but overall I wasn't as sick this past year as I have been in years past.
I've had some ups and downs with my health and how well I've taken care of myself this past year and I definitely want to do better in the upcoming year. I'll start exercising regularly and managing my time a bit better. Also learning to let myself relaaaaaaax. I suck at that...
On the bright side I made a lot of super awesome amazing friends this year! Ya'll are always a joy to chat with and I wish you weren't all so far away so we could hang out in person!! (Where's teleportation technology when you need it?)
As for my art productivity it's been pretty consistently high throughout the entire year. True, it slowed down at the end of the year once winter hit. But aside from my one-off drawings, I drew 28 complete comic pages this year. And I also have 21 pages that are works in progress for In Chaos We Dance.
I really was hoping to finish the first issue of In Chaos We Dance for the end of this year but the holidays combined with how much I hate colouring kicked my ass so I still have a bit of work to do. That said, my new goal is to have the first issue complete by January 31st so I can start posting pages once a week in February.
Also, once In Chaos We Dance is ready to be posted I'll be starting up a Patreon. This is partially a security measure if you will. I've been having a lot of trouble with art thieves on youtube and Instagram in particular (I am not on Instagram, if you see any of my art on there it was posted without my permission. If you can, please report it). But I'm basically going to start making more obstructive watermarks on everything I post. If you want it without the watermark you'll either have to purchase a Print or become a Patron where I will post my comics and art as I usually do with watermarks blended less obviously into the artwork.
I'm not going to stop posting art completely on any of my accounts. Not at all. I'll still post pretty much everything I post to Patreon on here as well. But I need to start taking these measures to protect my work. I want to start doing this professionally, but even if I didn't the amount of theft going on is disgusting.
For my goals for the next year? I'd like to....
