Bills by SallyVinter Bills by SallyVinter
Been on a DBZ kick lately which led to my watching of the movie that came out last year  - Battle of the Gods aka Kami to Kami. It was so different from the older movies that I watched during childhood, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Slice-of-Life DBZ is entertaining as hell to me and I also enjoy fights that utilize household objects (chop sticks). emi-wang and I have started watching the entire series of DBZ from scratch and I'm having fun discovering how much I missed during the earlier stuff due to the censors (seriously, entire episodes were just cut). So there'll likely be some more DBZ fanart on the way, aside from the other one I'm currently working on.

This was another exercise in backgrounds and composition.  Really trying my best to kick the lazies and work to improve myself.

It was Bills originally. It was changed when Funimation brought it over and dubbed it. I considered changing it but, ehn, I like "Bills" better.

Bills was just mistranslation. He was always intended to be "Beerus" which is a pun on 'virus'. He was supposed to be a lizard and infect others with evil, but Toriyama changed it.

Huh, that's cool, I didn't know that. What's Whis supposed to be a pun of? (Oh Toriyama and his puns... XD)

Well Toriyama didn't name Beerus. Concepts of "Beerus the God of Destruction" and "Super Saiyan God" were created by someone else and Toriyama was supposed to do the rest. Whis is apparanly a pun of whiskey, because Toriyama thought that Beerus' name came from beer xD

There aren't many fighters that use chopsticks...I saw one in the first Ranma 1/2 movie and that's just about it.  Any other than that, there's the changing chopsticks from  Xiaolin Showdown that can shrink the user down to the size of a grain of rice.  Realistically though I don't think a pair of chopsticks can do much if any damage to anyone, they were designed for eating not killing so clearly chopsticks are not weapons.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cnv6i5… :jawdrop:  Note to self:  Never underestimate anyone, that is how I was beat up by a little girl in nerf fencing.

That video is awesome =D

Asian countries have a long history of weaponizing everyday objects. Since during "peaceful sitdowns" it was forbidden to bring weapons so assassins would instead use what appeared to be inane objects (such as fans, and Tonfa were originally just handles from tools for grinding stone). Generals also had a history of taking extremely disadvantageous situations and still coming out on top by outsmarting their opponents. If you every have the time, read "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" it has a lot of really awesome stories and legends from the Three Kingdoms Era of Chinese history. While it is a fictional novel, it deals with real people from the time and real events that took place.

Now I am even more paranoid, the only way I can really trust someone is if they are completely naked in which they are completely unarmed....That is not going to work, there are those whose hands and feet are lethal.

Luckily a majority of people have no idea how to be lethal with ordinary objects or their own bodies. =D

But sometimes you can't tell the difference between someone that's helpless and one that is dangerous.
